Trusted Online Money Making Sites 2022
They’ve been around for a while, so it’s likely that they are legitimate and honest about their opportunities and offerings. Read on to learn more about each site, then decide which one(s) might be right for you!
As of April 2018, YouTube is home to more than 2.3 billion monthly active users. That’s almost one-third of all people on the Internet (and nearly as many as Facebook). Unlike Facebook, which is largely used for connecting with friends and family, 85% of YouTube views come from outside your immediate social circle. And unlike Instagram and Twitter (see below), most people use them to watch videos that were not created by their friends or family members.
In fact, 80% of 18-24-year-olds—who aren’t likely making money through YouTube ads—use it daily. If you can create a channel with relevant content that keeps subscribers coming back, you might have a channel worth monetizing through ads and sponsorships. Even if your first few videos don’t attract a huge audience, you’ll be building an audience that will see your new content when you release it later.
This will help grow your subscriber base faster than trying to build up an audience from scratch without leveraging what you already have. To learn more about how to make money on YouTube, check out our post: How Much Money Can You Make On YouTube?
If you have a knack for writing and a passion for business, you can create your own business by setting up a corporate or personal blog. This is one of my favorite ways to make money with zero startup costs! Check out lots of tips for beginner bloggers here. If you use WordPress, there are thousands of free themes available here to download and set up on your site. Once your setup is complete, it’s time to start monetizing. My favorite way to do that is using Google AdSense in addition to my affiliate marketing (click through payments.)
Use this simple formula Affiliate product + relevant ad = cash in your pocket. You can also monetize your website by selling advertising space directly to advertisers. Many blogs earn between $100-and $200 per month doing just that. The more traffic you get to your website, the more potential there is for earning big bucks from advertisers. Learn how at sites like Teachable and Squidoo.
3) Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing is one of the most popular ways to earn money online. It is a strategy where an individual partners with a business in order to make a commission by referring readers or visitors to a business’s particular product or service. But there are different ways of going about affiliate marketing, some of which are more effective than others. Here we will outline how you can make money through affiliate marketing in four basic steps.
You can apply these steps to virtually any niche or industry. The key takeaway here is that you should always be testing new techniques and strategies on your own projects before taking them to life and then you should always experiment with different ways, even if they might seem counterintuitive at first glance. These methods work best when used together so try them all out and see what works best for you!
4) Selling on Etsy
When we think of selling online, eBay or Amazon are often some of the first companies that come to mind. But Etsy is one site that you might want to check out if you’re interested in expanding your business’s reach. The site lets you set up an online store where you can sell your handmade and vintage items.
If you have a creative flair for crafting supplies and a knack for marketing, setting up an Etsy shop might be just what you need to make some extra money online. While many items sold on Etsy are niche or handmade, it’s also possible to find more common products like home goods and apparel there. You can even sell digital downloads on Etsy, such as e-books, music, and video files.
Freelancing is a great way to make money while still working on your own terms. Most freelancers choose a specialty in which they can offer their services to multiple companies, giving them tremendous flexibility and control over their time. If you’re interested in earning extra cash or building out your portfolio with high-quality projects, freelancing might be right for you. Check out some of these reputable sites and resources to get started.
This site lists remote jobs across various industries—from marketing to programming to accounting—and even provides useful articles and advice on how to become a successful freelancer. Whether you want full-time, part-time, or project work, check out FlexJobs today! Here are a few more places where you can find remote work.
You may also want to consider signing up for one of these popular freelance networks like Upwork (formerly oDesk Work) or Hubstaff Talent. These platforms connect businesses with experienced professionals who are ready to start new projects today.
6) Reselling on Amazon
All it takes is a single sale on Amazon to make you money. With Amazon, you can also leverage a large audience to gain exposure for your product(s) and drive traffic to your website or social media. One of my favorite products from Amazon is their brand name. Even if you choose not to sell their product, it’s a free advertisement for your company as long as you have their logo somewhere on your site (don’t worry about trademark laws).
Here are some popular brands with affiliate programs: Canon, Nike, Adidas, and many more! Just google XYZ Brand Affiliate Program to find out if they have one. If not then try the XYZ brand Amazon affiliate program!
7) Affiliate Programs with e-commerce sites
Another type of affiliate program is one that offers a commission to a website owner for referring traffic from their website. These can be physical goods, digital goods, or services. Examples of well-known affiliate programs are Amazon’s Affiliate Program and Walmart’s Affiliate Program. There are literally thousands of companies offering affiliate programs, so you will need to do some research on your competition to see if your business idea can work with existing online companies already running affiliate programs.
For example, I recently launched an Etsy shop called Elegant Events. I could have set up my own affiliate program through my site, but instead, I joined Etsy’s affiliate program because it was easy to sign up and they have a large audience interested in handmade goods like mine.
As an added bonus, Etsy has been around since 2005 (and is profitable), making it much more trustworthy than some new startup trying to get its first few sales through its own affiliate link! The downside? You don’t get as much control over your ad campaigns as you would by setting up your own affiliate links.
8) Take Surveys Online
Taking surveys online can be a fun and easy way to earn money, especially if you’re looking for an opportunity that doesn’t require you to change your habits too much. As long as you don’t mind sharing personal information, which most companies won’t pay for, and are okay with working on things like customer satisfaction surveys or business-related data analysis (the latter of which is generally easier than consumer surveys), survey sites are a great way to make extra cash.
There’s a good chance you already spend at least some time every day filling out some kind of survey in exchange for products, services or entry into a sweepstake—and you might even do it for free, but why not get paid for it? These 10 trusted survey sites can help.
9) Selling photos on stock photography sites
When it comes to selling your images, there are a variety of sites out there. Getty Images and iStockPhoto are two of them, but there’s no guarantee that you’ll ever make any money off of your photos through these sites. Be sure to take into account their pay-per-image rates before you get too invested in them.
Also, be wary of content restrictions that some sites require; many won’t allow you to sell adult images (i.e., anything with nudity) or designs (e.g., logos). It may be worth it to do some research on stock photography sites to see if they fit your needs. If not, there are other ways to profit from your pictures.
10) Build an audience then promote other people’s products or services
We’ve all heard it said: If you build it, they will come. But in today’s world of social media, anyone who’s anyone is connected to other people and companies with a variety of interests. So building a following online—whether that includes 50 people or 500,000—is an integral part of doing business. Whether you have an established presence on LinkedIn or are just starting to engage on Twitter, start by offering helpful insights and tips based on your expertise or experience.
Starting a new business and going online are both difficult tasks. If you want to start making money online, it will be more than worth your time to learn how to be smart and safe. There are many scams out there that prey on people looking for opportunities.
By being proactive and cautious, you can avoid most of these problems. Make sure to research your opportunity before spending any money on marketing or getting started. Doing so may not always be fun, but it is crucial for success in an online business; there are enough competitors as it is!
Once you have learned about a certain opportunity, take steps toward learning more. Don’t purchase anything without first trying out everything else.
